So You Want Freckles?

 We LOVE freckles at Spirit Hill Springers, so if you are looking for freckles and ticking, this is the place.

But we think that it is important to let you know that like good wine, freckles take time to come out.  Puppies are not born with them showing, so if a pup has a lot of white on it, then expect freckles to show up in those white areas at a later date (usually at 5-6 weeks they start showing).  Freckles will continue to come out during the lifetime of the dog. Some dogs will get a lot of ticking and others more freckling.  Both are beautiful.

With additional imports coming from Europe, we will be adding freckles, but also adding some more white to our puppies.  However, look at the transition below to realize how a face at birth can change by 8 weeks!
